If you thrive on solving complex data challenges and want your work to have real, measurable impact, this is the opportunity for you.\nWhat You'll Deliver\nEnsure Litera's critical SaaS databases run at peak performance through expert-level PostgreSQL tuning, monitoring, and optimization - directly improving platform reliability for millions of users.\nDesign and implement database schemas and data ingest strategies that scale with our growing product portfolio and customer base.\nDrive root cause analysis during major incidents and lead cross-functional resolution efforts, minimizing customer impact and strengthening system resilience.\nImplement advanced security standards - including row-level security and data encryption - to protect sensitive legal data and maintain compliance.\nArchitect backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions that ensure business continuity and give stakeholders confidence in our platform.\nAutomate routine database operations to reduce toil, increase reliability, and free up engineering capacity for higher-impact work.\nReview and improve database code across teams, mentoring engineers on best practices and elevating the quality of our data layer.\nStay ahead of emerging database technologies and practices, bringing forward recommendations that keep Litera at the cutting edge.\nWhat You'll Bring\nMust-Haves:\n5+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator, with deep expertise in PostgreSQL (cloud and on-premises).\nProven ability to write, debug, and optimize complex database queries and code.\nStrong experience with cloud database solutions and infrastructure.\nSolid understanding of database engine tuning, partitioning strategies, and physical schema design from logical models.\nA problem-solver who can reverse-engineer issues, simplify complexity, and communicate clearly under pressure.\nComfort with on-call rotations and the ability to maintain composure during high-urgency production incidents.\nNice to Haves:\nExperience with data modeling, master data management (MDM), or data dictionaries.\nBackground working with SaaS products in highly regulated environments (SOX, HIPAA, PCI).\nFamiliarity with software development practices and workflows.\nKnowledge of security and privacy compliance frameworks.\nGreat candidates don't check every box - if this role excites you and you bring most of what we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Experience\nA team that shows up.
