Your work will directly influence product stability, system performance, and the speed at which we deliver value to customers.\nWhatYou’llDeliver\nDesign and deliver scalable, user-focused features across backend services, APIs, and frontend applications\n\nDrive improvements to platform performance, reliability, and maintainability across a complex SaaS environment\n\nPartner with cross-functional teams to translate product goals into technical solutions that support long-term growth\n\nLead technical problem-solving efforts, proactively identifying and resolving product-level issues\n\nContribute reusable, high-quality code that accelerates future development and platform consistency\n\nInfluence architectural decisions that strengthen scalability, security, and system robustness\n\nSupport a collaborative engineering culture through mentorship, code reviews, and process improvements\n\nHelp evolve engineering best practices that enable teams to deliver efficiently and continuously improve\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nMust-Haves:\nProven professional software development experience using Clojure or a similar Lisp-family language\n\nStrong understanding of scalable SaaS application development and modern software architecture\n\nSolid SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL\n\nExperience designing and building RESTful APIs\n\nKnowledge of software testing methodologies and engineering best practices\n\nStrong collaboration and communication skills within distributed, cross-functional teams\n\nNice-to-Haves:\nExperience with ClojureScript\n\nFamiliarity with AWS, Docker, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, or similar technologies\n\nUnderstanding of application security principles\n\nPassion for continuous learning and improving engineering processes\n\nWe know great candidates don’t always check every box. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs.
