We’re on a mission to help parents ignite a love of learning and a love of life.\n Role Summary\nAs a Logistics Routing Administrator (LRA), you will report to the Transportation-Logistics Manager and play a key role in coordinating and executing transportation activities across the business. Your primary responsibility is to manage the transportation process from initial warehouse route planning and pickup through crossdock planning and execution to final-mile planning and delivery.\nYou will work closely with carriers, fulfillment centers, crossdocks, customers, Customer Service, and Production to ensure transportation plans are communicated, coordinated, and executed successfully. This includes developing and communicating routes, coordinating pickups and deliveries, monitoring transportation activity, and proactively identifying and resolving issues throughout the shipment lifecycle.\nThe LRA serves as a central point of communication between internal departments and external transportation partners. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accountability across the transportation process.\nThe role also supports the ongoing development and maintenance of transportation databases, reporting, processes, and compliance standards.\nThe LRA directly contributes to business performance through on-time deliveries, effective fulfillment center execution, carrier accountability, and the successful coordination of inbound and outbound freight.\nThis is a high-visibility opportunity to make a meaningful impact on business operations and support literacy worldwide. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry professionals while continuing to develop your skills and capabilities.\nStarting rate: $21/hr, non-exempt \nREQUIREMENTS\nStrong attention to detail.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities.\n\nAbility to coordinate multiple carriers and transportation partners.\n\nStrong auditing skills and sense of accountability.\n\nCommitment to accuracy and high-quality standards.\n\nStrong mathematical and analytical skills.\n\nAbility to interpret and execute transportation plans.\n\nCommitment to excellence and continuous improvement.\n\nAbility to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.\n\nWE’D LOVE TO SEE\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n\nAdvanced Excel skills.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.\n\nExperience coordinating with carriers, warehouses, or transportation partners.\n\nKnowledge of transportation, logistics, routing, and carrier management.\n\nStrong task management and organizational abilities.\n\nAbility to walk and stand for extended periods.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nTransportation Planning & Execution\nDevelop, coordinate, and communicate transportation routes with carriers and fulfillment centers.\n\nCoordinate the full transportation lifecycle, including warehouse route planning and pickup, crossdock planning and execution, and final-mile planning and delivery.\n\nEnsure fulfillment centers receive accurate routing information in advance of scheduled shipment dates.\n\nCoordinate inbound and outbound freight movements, transfers, fair deliveries, and pickups.\n\nMonitor transportation execution to ensure routes and delivery plans are completed as scheduled.\n\nCarrier & Stakeholder Coordination\nServe as a primary point of coordination with carrier representatives regarding routing, scheduling, pickups, deliveries, and transportation requirements.\n\nCoordinate transportation activities between warehouse personnel, crossdock teams, carriers, customers, Customer Service, and Production.\n\nCommunicate transportation plans, requirements, and changes to all appropriate parties.\n\nFollow up with carriers and transportation partners to ensure execution aligns with established plans.\n\nSupport carrier accountability and maintain effective working relationships with transportation partners.\n\nIssue Resolution & Customer Communication\nIdentify, investigate, and coordinate the resolution of transportation issues throughout the shipment lifecycle.\n\nAddress service failures, missed pickups, delayed deliveries, routing discrepancies, and other transportation exceptions.\n\nCommunicate directly with customers to resolve transportation-related questions, delays, and service issues.\n\nProvide proactive updates and maintain clear communication between customers, internal departments, and external partners.\n\nCoordinate with the appropriate teams to minimize service disruptions and ensure timely resolution of issues.\n\nTransportation Systems, Reporting & Compliance\nOperate the routing program and maintain the transportation database.\n\nSupport the development and maintenance of transportation databases, processes, and reporting.\n\nDevelop and maintain facility-specific transportation reports.\n\nPrepare and communicate Bills of Lading (BOLs).\n\nConduct transportation and safety audits.\n\nSupport driver safety and compliance requirements.\n\nAssist with transportation training, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nABOUT LITERATI\nWe offer competitive salaries, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, short-term disability insurance, parental leave, employee assistance programs, flexible work schedules, and flexible time off.\nWe are dedicated to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness that sees, reflects, welcomes, and celebrates the innovation and talent of a diverse array of people.
