We’re on a mission to help parents ignite a love of learning and a love of life.\nAbout the Role\nThe Team Lead - Inventory & Print Operations plays a key role in keeping Fulfillment Center operations running smoothly, with a primary focus on inventory accuracy, inventory execution, quality control, and print operations support.\nReporting to the Operations Manager, this role serves as a floor leader and subject matter expert who understands how inventory, print production, fulfillment, and other warehouse functions work together. The Team Lead monitors operations, identifies barriers, supports associates, and helps ensure work is completed safely, accurately, on time, and to standard.\nThis role will take ownership of inventory execution within the Fulfillment Center while also providing hands-on support to Print Operations and other areas as needed. The Team Lead will troubleshoot operational issues, help direct labor and workflow, monitor performance, and help execute plans developed by the Leadership team.\nWhat You'll Do\nInventory & Quality\nOwn day-to-day inventory execution and help ensure inventory is accurate, organized, and available to support fulfillment and print operations.\n\nPerform cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, and research root causes of discrepancies.\n\nSupport annual physical inventory and additional inventory audits.\n\nMonitor key titles to ensure inventory levels and execution align with business needs.\n\nReview daily sales orders, paid and eFair orders and unfilled orders\n\nExecute inventory plans developed by Leadership and communicate opportunities or barriers to leadership.\n\nSupport inventory transfers and ensure inventory is properly accounted for throughout the process.\n\nAssist with semi-annual schematics and other inventory planning initiatives.\n\nPrint & Operations Support\nSupport Print Operations and other warehouse functions as needed to keep overall production on track.\n\nUnderstand how inventory, print, fulfillment, and other operational areas impact one another.\n\nMonitor workflow across the floor and identify barriers that may affect production, quality, or timelines.\n\nStep in to support production priorities and help redirect workflow in partnership with Supervisors and the Operations Manager.\n\nHelp ensure associates are on task, on time, and working to established standards.\n\nServe as a floor-level point of contact for operational questions and problem solving.\n\nAbout You\nHigh school diploma or GED\n\nPrevious warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, or production experience\n\nExperience operating lift equipment, such as a cherry picker\n\nStrong Excel skills and comfort working with data\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\n\nHighly organized and detail-oriented\n\nTask-oriented with the ability to prioritize competing needs\n\nAble to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines\n\nComfortable walking and standing for extended periods of time\n\nAble to lift and move materials as required for the role\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment\n\nWe'd Love to See\nExperience with inventory control and cycle counting\n\nExperience analyzing and compiling data\n\nExperience training or mentoring others\n\nStrong math and Excel skills\n\nHigh standards for quality and accuracy\n\nExperience interpreting and executing operational plans\n\nStrong communication and cooperation skills\n\nA commitment to operational excellence\n\nAbility to identify opportunities and develop practical solutions\n\nKnowledge of books, book categories, and/or publishing\n\nExperience working across multiple warehouse or production functions\n\nA proactive mindset and willingness to jump in where support is needed\n\nDisclaimer: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the job.
