This role focuses on developing robust manufacturing processes, coordinating cross-functional projects, and ensuring that quality, capacity, productivity, cost, safety, and customer requirements are met.\nThe NPI Engineer works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, resolve process challenges, and identify continuous improvement opportunities throughout the product introduction lifecycle.\nAbout your role\nAs an NPI Engineer, you will:\nLead and coordinate New Product Introduction activities, including process development, documentation, validation, release, and product transfer activities.\nDevelop and implement manufacturing systems, assembly lines, methods, process sheets, standards, and operator instructions for new products.\nDesign manufacturing process flows and support production layouts, line balancing, equipment selection, tooling, ergonomics, cycle times, and safety requirements.\nCollaborate with Design Engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure product manufacturability and successful implementation into production.\nCoordinate cross-functional working groups to support project execution and new product launches.\nDevelop and maintain key manufacturing documentation, including Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, visual aids, and operating documentation.\nCoordinate engineering samples and support prototype testing and evaluation.\nDefine and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with new product and project releases.\nAnalyze manufacturing performance, including efficiency, productivity, OEE, downtime, quality, and cost.\nIdentify process issues and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.\nApply lessons learned from existing products and processes to prevent recurring issues during new product launches.\nSupport quality and compliance activities, including corrective and preventive actions, audit findings, deviations, and Process Change Notifications (PCNs).\nEnsure compliance with applicable quality, environmental, and safety requirements.\nProvide technical assistance and problem-solving support to manufacturing teams.\nDevelop and deliver technical training for supervisors, technicians, and other personnel as required.\nSupport equipment and tooling releases while identifying opportunities to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.\nAbout you\nBachelor’s degree or completed university education in Engineering or a related technical field.\n2-3 years of experience as a Manufacturing, Process, Project, or similar Engineer.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and New Product Introduction methodologies.\nExperience developing or working with Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.\nAbility to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple project activities.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate efficiency, productivity, OEE, downtime, quality, and cost-reduction opportunities.\nKnowledge of process control, manufacturing documentation, and compliance standards.\nAbility to identify process improvements and implement effective corrective actions.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions.\nAbility to develop and deliver technical training.\nOrganized, results-oriented, and capable of managing priorities in a manufacturing and project-driven environment.}\nLittelfuse is an equal opportunity employer committed to empowering every associate to make a difference - everywhere, every day.\n#LI-VPGM\nAt Littelfuse, we support employee growth and development.
