We are now hiring for a Transportation Supervisor at our facility in Bethlehem, PA.\nYour Mission:\nIn this role, you will assist in leading the transportation department in strategic and day-to-day activities, from managing schedules and routes to creating and managing transportation goals identified in the strategic plan. You will be responsible for productivity goals and standards, DOT compliance and safety, and provide industry-leading quality service. This position will include managing the driver colleagues.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\nAssure the most efficient delivery schedule that satisfies customer delivery needs while ensuring the lowest total distribution cost per case.\nManage the monitoring of driver routes, stops and deliveries and ensure that all required logs are accurate and completed on time.\nDevelop maintenance schedules and procedures that ensure high performing vehicles and equipment while maintaining adequate coverage for deliveries. Train drivers in procedures.\nUncover, prioritize and eliminate issues at an operational and tactical level.\nMay also conduct driver ride-alongs.\nWho You Are:\nMinimum of three (3) years supervisory experience within the transportation industry, including managing drivers, routes, fleet maintenance and operating expenses.\nPossess a strong understanding of DOT, FDA, and OSHA, CSA compliance requirements, company policies and all national and state regulations and the ability to enforce them.\nProficient in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes and experience with onboard systems such as PeopleNet and Appian to maximize driver route efficiency.\nExperience in fleet maintenance.\nAbility to work after normal business hours, evenings and weekends as necessary.\nIn addition to competitive compensation, we offer a variety of benefits for our full-time colleagues after 90 days with the company, including but not limited to:\nA variety of medical plans to choose from to fit your needs, with prescription coverage\nComprehensive dental and vision plans\nShort & Long Term Disability, Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Coverage \n401k plan, with a company match, that colleagues can enroll in immediately, if enrollment criteria is met.\nEmployee Assistance Program (Company Paid)\nAll items listed above are illustrative and not comprehensive.
