This position serves as a key technical resource responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, supporting production schedules, and ensuring equipment reliability through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.\nThe ideal candidate possesses strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and has experience working with industrial equipment, motor controls, pneumatic systems, automation equipment, and manufacturing machinery. This role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Facilities teams to identify root causes of equipment failures, implement corrective actions, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain safe and efficient operations.\nEssential Responsibilities\nEquipment Maintenance & Repair\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, automated production systems, facility equipment, and support systems.\nDiagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment failures.\nPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.\nInstall, maintain, align, repair, and replace motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps, valves, actuators, and other mechanical components.\nTroubleshoot electrical systems including control panels, circuit protection devices, relays, contactors, sensors, switches, and wiring systems.\nPerform machine modifications, upgrades, rebuilds, and equipment improvement projects.\nSupport equipment installations, relocations, validations, and commissioning activities.\nElectrical & Controls Support\nTroubleshoot equipment utilizing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, manuals, and technical specifications.\nDiagnose issues involving PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, motor controls, sensors, VFDs, and automated systems.\nAssist with electrical panel wiring, component replacement, and equipment upgrades.\nSupport troubleshooting of low-voltage and industrial electrical systems, including 24VDC, 120VAC, 208VAC, and 480VAC equipment.\nPerform electrical testing using digital multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools.\nReliability & Continuous Improvement\nConduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.\nIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, safety, and maintainability.\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, repairs, inspections, and equipment history documentation.\nUtilize CMMS and maintenance tracking systems to document maintenance activities and equipment performance.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all company safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements, electrical safety practices, and environmental regulations.\nMaintain compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport audits, equipment inspections, and corrective action activities as required.\nCollaboration & Technical Support\nWork closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and Operations teams to support production objectives.\nProvide technical support during equipment breakdowns and process disruptions.\nAssist in training operators and technicians on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety procedures.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required\nRequired\nStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.\nKnowledge of motors, motor controls, relays, contactors, sensors, control circuits, and machine automation systems.\nExperience troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.\nProficiency using hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and precision measuring instruments.\nStrong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting abilities.\nAbility to work independently and effectively prioritize multiple maintenance activities.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nPreferred\nExperience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or similar).\nExperience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), HMIs, and automated manufacturing equipment.\nExperience supporting preventive and predictive maintenance programs.\nExperience using CMMS software.\nExperience in medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and reliability-centered maintenance principles.\nUnderstanding of OSHA regulations, electrical safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nTechnical trade school, apprenticeship, military technical training, associate degree, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.\nMinimum 3-7 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, maintenance electrician, industrial electrician, or electro-mechanical maintenance experience preferred.\nExperience maintaining automated production equipment and manufacturing systems is strongly preferred.\nValuing different backgrounds:\nLivaNova values equality and diversity.
