Join our talented team members worldwide to become a pioneer of tomorrow-because at LivaNova, we don’t just treat conditions - we aspire to alter the course of lives.\nPosition Summary: \nThe Intern will assist Quality Engineering in completing a material/substance database.\nThey will help collect and analyze data for use by Quality Engineering in the evaluation of materials used in LivaNova products.\nThe Intern may also assist in general procedure updates required as part of process improvements and on-going maintenance of the Quality Management System.\nEssential Job Functions: \nThey will support Quality Engineering for executing the quality engineering activities related to the design and manufacture of the products in compliance with the Quality Management System requirements and the regulations of the countries where the franchise distributes and sells products. They will work on projects related to conformance to the Medical Device requirements of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.\nWith respect to the material database, they will:\nReview information supplied by suppliers for material information and add to database \nContact suppliers when additional information is needed \nCommunicate with QE on any issues that arise or if additional information is needed \nThey will respect the Health and Safety Regulations in their field of competence.\nPerforms other duties as may be required by their manager. \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \nSuccessfully demonstrates an in-depth or breadth of engineering skill(s). \nMust have proficiency with quality tools such as flowcharts, statistical data analysis, mathematical reasoning \nAbility to work within a changing environment. \nAbility to work with a wide variety of personnel on all levels and utilize constructive confrontation \nAbility to analyze and problem-solve. \nExcellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. \nAble to communicate across functional lines. \nSitting 60-80%, standing & walking 20-40% \nRepetitive work on computer 80% \nOral and written comprehension \nMust be able to work in a clean room environment and tolerate chemical odors. \nMust be able to work in a lab environment and tolerate the smell and sight of blood. \nMust be willing to take on related duties as required in support of company and departmental objectives. \nPay Transparency: The hourly rate for this position is $25\nEducation: \nPursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or other technical degree (computer science, chemistry, biochemistry, etc.), must have completed Junior year.\nMinimum GPA 3.0\nValuing different backgrounds:\nLivaNova values equality and diversity.
