This role is available across our primary LATAM hub in Peru.\nWho you are\nYou are an experienced cloud engineer who understands that operating reliable systems starts with understanding what those systems are doing. You bring deep AWS expertise and have designed observability solutions that give engineering teams meaningful visibility into the health, performance, and behavior of complex applications and infrastructure. You are comfortable working across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and instrumentation, and you know how to turn telemetry into actionable insights, not noise. You communicate clearly with development teams and stakeholders, approach reliability problems methodically, and thrive in a consulting environment where technical environments, clients, and priorities change.\nWhat you will be doing\nDesign and implement observability strategies for applications, infrastructure, containers, and distributed systems running in AWS.\nBuild monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and visualization solutions using AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch, Managed Service for Prometheus, and Managed Grafana.\nInstrument applications and services using OpenTelemetry and other modern observability standards and frameworks.\nBuild meaningful dashboards, alerts, SLIs, and SLOs that help teams identify performance and reliability issues before they impact users.\nPartner with other engineers to improve observability throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.\nDesign and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS.\nAnalyze production incidents using metrics, logs, and distributed traces to identify root causes and recommend improvements.\nHelp clients improve the performance, reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of their AWS environments while documenting reusable observability patterns and practices.\nWhy you should apply\nYou want to work with passionate, talented people who are always looking for ways to make things better.\nYou value a work environment where kindness, mutual trust, and egoless collaboration are paramount.\nYou have a history of keeping promises, doing what is right, and spending energy on what matters.\nYou enjoy the variety and growth that comes with consulting for Fortune 1000 companies across industries and technical stacks.\nYou want to work on projects that have outsized impact and reach.\nYou believe in sweating the details, committing to quality, and taking pride in going the extra mile.\nWhat you bring to the table\nDeep hands-on experience designing, building, and operating production environments in AWS across core infrastructure, networking, security, and container services.\nStrong experience designing observability solutions across metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and application performance monitoring.\nHands-on experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch, Managed Prometheus, and Managed Grafana, along with OpenTelemetry and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Splunk.\nExperience defining SLIs, SLOs, and alerting strategies and using telemetry to troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native technologies such as Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS.\nStrong scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex infrastructure, reliability, and observability concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nBonus points if you…\nHold relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer\nHave experience designing observability solutions for large-scale distributed systems or microservices architectures.\nHave experience with SRE, incident management, production operations, or optimizing telemetry volume and observability costs at scale.\nHave a background working directly with clients in a consulting or professional services environment.\nWhat to expect\nWhen applying, please include a short note about yourself, a summary of your work experience, and a link to any public profiles you actively maintain (e.g., GitHub, LinkedIn).
