You'll collaborate closely with our Sales, Engineering, Product teams to win technical decisions and to make sure what you hear in the field informs how we build.\nYOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU:\nlove to build and solve the most challenging customer problems with LiveKit\n\nhave a curious mind with a continuous desire to learn and improve\n\nenjoy demoing and presenting, whether to a room of engineer, to a CTO or at a conference\n\nhave a team first mentally, seeking to lift others around you as you progress in your career\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nPartner with an account executive as the technical lead on strategic deals - from discovery and architecture design through demos, POCs, and technical decisions\n\nAdvise customers on cloud architecture and deployment across self-hosted and LiveKit Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)\n\nBuild live demos and reference applications - voice agents, video pipelines, telephony integrations - tailored to each customer's use case, and reusable by the wider team\n\nScope and run proofs-of-concept against clear, shared success criteria, guiding customers all the way to production\n\nReason with customers about connectivity, infrastructure, and end-to-end latency to design for scale and reliability\n\nCreate technical content - blog posts, guides, webinars, and conference talks - that helps developers and enterprises build with LiveKit\n\nAct as the technical enabler for your region's pod, and share field insight with Product and Engineering to help shape the roadmap\n\nWHO YOU ARE\n4+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or a customer-facing engineering role (or equivalent hands-on engineering experience with strong customer instincts)\n\nHands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - you can architect, deploy, and debug real applications\n\nComfortable with the modern deployment toolchain: containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and networking fundamentals (load balancing, DNS, firewalls/NAT)\n\nAble to reason about connectivity, infrastructure, and latency end to end - how architecture, network path, compute, co-location, and model choice shape the AI agentic experiences of today\n\nStrong programming ability in at least one of our core SDK languages - Python, TypeScript/Node, or Go\n\nA clear communicator who can demo, present, and write for technical audiences\n\nNICE TO HAVE\nWorking knowledge of real-time media protocols and their latency/quality trade-offs (WebRTC, RTP/SRTP, WebSockets)\n\nFamiliarity with the AI voice stack: STT/TTS providers, LLM integration, speech-to-speech models, turn detection, and telephony/SIP\n\nExperience speaking at meetups or conferences, or a track record of technical writing or open-source contributions\n\nOUR COMMITMENT TO YOU\nAn opportunity to build something truly impactful to the world\n\nContribute to open source alongside world-class engineers\n\nCompetitive salary and equity package\n\nFlexible vacation policy\n\nLiveKit is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any characteristic protected by applicable law.
