It's market-leading, and it's the single biggest driver of the company's revenue.\nWe're hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to own it outright: three teams, 20-25 engineers across the US and India, and a clear mandate to modernize the platform - migrating to Temporal, building self-service, and bringing AI-driven workflows to a system already running at massive scale.\nYour team will:\nActivation Backend runs the distribution, matching, and refresh pipelines that move > 5 petabytes of audience data to destinations every day.\n\nIntegration Core builds the shared integration platform, quality tooling, and Conversions API framework that every destination is built on. It leads the hardest partner API migrations.\n\nIntegration Feature builds and maintains the individual destination integrations, from the largest walled gardens to emerging channels.\n\nTogether they solve hard problems in throughput, deduplication, partner API compliance, PII and identity-based activation, observability, and cost. They are the front line when a delivery or partner issue affects a customer.\n\nYou will:\nLead about 20 to 25 engineers across three teams in the US and India: Activation Backend, Integration Core, and Integration Feature\n\nHire, coach, and grow the engineering managers and tech leads who run these teams Own the reliability, speed, and cost of the pipelines that deliver audience data to destinations every day\n\nOwn the health and roadmap of our partner integrations, including Meta, Google, Amazon, TikTok, DSPs, and cloud platforms\n\nLead incident response for activation and integrations, from detection to post-incident review, and drive down P0/P1 volume\n\nSet the technical direction: migrate workflows to Temporal, expand self-service capabilities, and own the reference architecture\n\nCut delivery turnaround time and eliminate duplicate data sent to partners as volumes grow\n\nBring AI to Activation through MCP interfaces and agent-driven workflows for customers and internal teams\n\nPartner with Product, Quality Engineering, Support, and platform teams on priorities, quality gates, and on-call processes\n\nRepresent Activation engineering to executives and to our destination partners' engineering teams\n\nAbout you:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience\n\n10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years managing engineering teams Have led 15+ engineers, including managing managers or tech leads, and grown senior technical talent\n\nBuilt and operated large-scale distributed data systems in a public cloud, including data pipelines and workflow orchestration\n\nOwned production reliability for customer-facing systems: on-call, incident response, and root-cause analysis\n\nDelivered and maintained integrations with third-party partner APIs Have set roadmaps with Product based on business outcomes and delivered on quarterly commitments\n\nLed teams across multiple countries and time zones\n\nCommunicate clearly with engineers and executives, including on technical trade-offs and risk\n\nStay calm and decisive under high customer impact and shifting priorities\n\nPreferred Skills:\nAdTech, MarTech, or data collaboration experience, such as Conversions API, Customer Match, DSPs, or clean rooms\n\nGoogle Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Apache Spark, and Temporal or Cadence\n\nLed a platform shift toward API-first and self-service\n\nApplied AI or agentic tools in production or in engineering workflows, including MCP\n\nFamiliar with privacy regulations that apply to consumer data delivery, such as GDPR and CCPA\n\nThe approximate annual base compensation range is $223,500 to $263,000.
