ABOUT LVT

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Fullstack Software Engineering to lead high-performing teams building the user-facing platforms and robust backend services that power LVT’s intelligent site technology. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex physical edge data and intuitive cloud applications, directing the architecture of scalable APIs and highly responsive user interfaces. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Platform teams to deliver seamless, real-time security and operational intelligence to our customers while mentoring and growing a world-class engineering team.

This role is based in-office out of our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Intelligent Site Experience Leadership: Serve as the single-threaded engineering leader owning every customer-facing surface across web and mobile platforms, including operator consoles, admin portals, and site management workflows.
• Product & UI/UX Elevation: Partner closely with Product Management and Product Design (UX/UI) to translate complex operator needs into intuitive, role-aware, consumer-grade interfaces that make LVT’s user experience a primary competitive advantage.
• Agentic Workflows & AI Integration: Oversee the development of seamless, intent-driven interfaces powered by agentic AI workflows, allowing customers to configure, monitor, act on, and document site operations through simple conversational and automated interactions.
• Fullstack Architecture & Scalability: Partner with Principal Engineers and Architects to design, build, and maintain highly scalable, cloud-native backend services and performant frontend architectures capable of processing real-time video and IoT data streams.
• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, coach, and grow high-performing teams of fullstack, frontend, and backend engineers. Build a culture of ownership, grant engineers the scope to operate at their best, and recruit exceptional talent to scale the organization.
• Technical Strategy & Execution: Translate product strategy into technical roadmaps and execution plans, balancing near-term feature delivery with long-term architectural health and scalability.
• Engineering Excellence & Developer Velocity: Champion modern software engineering practices, including automated testing, robust CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and application performance monitoring, while continually optimizing internal workflows to accelerate delivery cycles. 
• Cross-functional Alignment: Partner with Security, Infrastructure, AI/ML, and Hardware teams to ensure cohesive integration across the entire LVT product ecosystem

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Engineering Leadership Experience: 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years of directly managing and growing fullstack or user-facing product engineering teams in high-growth SaaS environments.
• Product-Minded UI/UX Bar-Raiser: A strong eye for user experience and a proven track record of elevating clunky or data-dense enterprise workflows into seamless, high-performance web and mobile interfaces.
• Fullstack Technical Expertise: Strong technical foundation with modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript, Next.js) and robust backend ecosystems (Node.js, Python, Go, GraphQL, REST).
• AI & Agentic Systems Exposure: Experience or strong interest in shipping UI/UX powered by agentic AI workflows, LLM orchestration, or intelligent automation.
• Scalable Cloud & IoT Systems: Proven experience designing and operating highly available cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS) that support high-throughput data, video streaming, or large-scale IoT integrations.
• Talent Builder: Demonstrated success hiring, mentoring, and developing fullstack engineers, fostering a culture of psychological safety, high execution velocity, and continuous learning.
• Strategic Decision Making: Ability to balance commercial and business urgency with technical debt, engineering capacity, and architectural scalability.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with real-time video streaming protocols (e.g., WebRTC, HLS) and complex data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with IoT, computer vision, or AI/ML integrations in user-facing web applications.
• Experience in high-growth startup or scale-up environments.
