They check for defects, assemble products, monitor manufacturing equipment, and closely follow safety procedures to prevent accidents in environments where materials may be hazardous.Essential Job Duties\nOperate production equipment.\nMaintain the warehouse’s machines.\nAssemble machinery parts.\nStore products and materials.\nMeet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift.\nReport on defective products or machinery.\nCheck stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials.\nKeep the worksite clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products.\nReview and follow manufacturing manuals to build machinery.\nEnsure shipping procedures are timely.\nTransfer equipment manually or with forklift trucks.\nFollow the company’s safety and quality guidelines.\n Supervisory Responsibilities\nNot responsible for supervising employees.\nMinimum Requirements \nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma/GED.\n1+ years of experience required.\nPrevious experience as a production worker or similar role in a warehouse.\nGood understanding of how production equipment works.\nAbility to detect potential problems with machinery.\nKnowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures (safety gear will be provided).\nAbility to lift heavy loads and transfer them manually.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nPreferred Requirements\nNo preferred requirements.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nBasic computer skills.\nBasic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.\nProblems encountered are simple, repetitive and generally solved by clear directions and procedures.\nFollows standard procedures with no decision making involved.\nUses guidance/guidelines provide by supervisor/manager.\nAssginments/priorities provide by supervisor/manager.\nGood understanding of how production equipment works.\nAbility to detect potential problems with machinery.\nKnowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures (safety gear will be provided).\nAbility to lift heavy loads and transfer them manually.\nGood communication and teamwork.\nEssential Physical Demands/Work Environment\nTravel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.\nThe employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
