Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!\nResponsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of transactional databases, ensuring that the database in available, performing properly, and is safely executed.Essential Job Duties\nPerform installations, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring, and configuration.\nDefine standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.\nPerform backup and recovery using Database Management Systems.\nConfigure database parameters and define data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements.\nCreate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated database jobs.\nTroubleshoot and resolve database connectivity and performance issues.\nMonitor server and database metrics and respond to/resolve alerts.\nAdminister and maintain database access.\nDesign and implement approaches to improve database performance, capacity, and scalability.\nConfer with appropriate managers regarding problems with and capabilities of databases.\nCreate and maintain database and server documentation.\nAssume other duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNot responsible for supervising employees.\nMinimum Requirements\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's Degree.\n3+ years of related experience required with relational databases.\nPreferred Requirements\n4+ years of relevant experience.\nExperience with Postgres, MS SQL Server and/or Elasticsearch.\nAgile development experience.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.\nDemonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.\nRegularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
