Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!\nResponsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the Dispatch Department in accordance with current federal, state/provincial, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing this facility, and as may be directed by the Dispatch Manager to assure that the Dispatch Department is run in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. Essential Job Duties\nSchedule drivers on routes daily.\nPTP and put up tickets looking for any rush or problem tickets that did not get handled.\nHandle any issues with pick tickets (RCE, PLRC) or parts that did not get delivered on time.\nManifest the driver pick tickets.\nCommunicate with external customers and provide a high quality service.\nOperate and run reports with the GPS system.\nManage time off requests and Kronos.\nSchedule maintenance on vehicles and or break downs with mechanic(s).\nSign off on bills for maintenance and schedule rentals when/if needed.\nEnsure we are compliant with drivers and paperwork for DOT.\nHandle discipline issues and any drivers under probation because of their MVR and LKQ points.\nEnsure the vehicle checklist and driver log in has turned in each day.\nNew hire paperwork for driver (s) and training including LKQU, ISO and DOT.\nOrder RMA, Hot core and core purchase books.\nHandle or delegate getting vehicle tags, Gas pins, vehicle keys, DOT inspection, DOT physicals, and emission inspections.\nFiling (vehicle records, PTO, etc.).\nAssume other duties as assigned. (Must add Manage safely laws, rules and regulations.)\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nSupervise the work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but do not have final responsibility for making these decisions.\nMinimum Requirements \nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma/GED\n3 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent; Proficient in specialty including prior senior lead experience.\nPreferred Requirements\nExperience in logistic, delivery or dispatch\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.\nFrequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives.\nRegularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
