Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!\nSalary range $22-23/hrClean, inspect, and prepare safely LKQ products for shipment and delivery of high-quality parts to our customers.\nEssential Job Duties\nClean parts - buff small parts, power wash the drive train, and clean panels with soap and water. Inspect parts - matching description and quality to how they were inventoried.\nCommunicate with sales reps - Using email and/or phone to describe any discrepancies in quality or inventory of the part.\nPrepare for shipment - protect all small parts with bubble wrap and place them in a cardboard box, wrap bumpers with a protective cover, and place doors in racks divided by foam pads.\nLoad semi-trailers going to other LKQ facilities - prepare racks with panels and small parts to be loaded on semi-trailers via a fork truck.\nAssume other duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNot responsible for supervising employees.\nBasic Qualifications\nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.\n0+ years of related experience required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nForklift experience.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.\nFrequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics.\nBasic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.\nProblems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.\nDecisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.\nResults are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines for how to complete work activities; works closely with supervisor/manager who provides broad guidance and overall direction.\nPrioritize assigned and routine tasks. Handle appropriately. \nEssential Physical Demands/Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods. \nThe employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
