Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!\nOperates in a safety manner a truck to deliver company transfers and customer orders, manually loads/unloads truck, verifies parts unloaded, obtains signatures from receiving location confirming accuracy of parts unloaded, and brings returns back to the warehouse.- Starting Salary: $31.00 per hour\n- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 11:00pm\n Essential Job Duties\nDrive safely a truck to transfer product between locations, wholesaler and drop box locations in outlying markets.\nPick up truck at the warehouse and may load truck according to safety standards and to ensure product integrity. Verify the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the delivery.\nDrive to the destination and physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location, confirming the accuracy of parts shown on the order and those received, and sign off on the integrity of what was loaded at the location.\nMake proper notations on the manifest or provide credit memos on parts being returned to the locations, wholesalers and drop boxes.\nPick up stock purchase orders or buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor “fill in” purchase orders and bring parts back to the location.\nComplete check in process when returning to the location to verify parts and paperwork.\nTurn in paperwork after check-in.\nComply with established company policies and procedures. Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ’s quality improvement program.\nMay drive a tractor-trailer that requires a CDL Class A License (EZ Driver License in Canada).\nPass random drug testing as required.\nSuccessful completion of annual training as assigned.\nOperate in compliance with applicable rules and regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.\nWork with Loader Operator to stage cars or pull cars in yard properly\nAssume other duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNot responsible for supervising employees.\nMinimum Requirements \nEducation & Experience\nHigh School Diploma/GED\n1+ years of related experience required\n1+ years of driving and warehouse experience. Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.\nMust qualify for Corporate insurance programs, including vehicle insurance.\nMust meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations. Must be at least 21 years of age.\nMust comply with state and local mandated requirements as well as Department of Transportation (“DOT”) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) regulations.\nPreferred Requirements\nCDL A License (or EZ Driver License in Canada)\nForklift certified.\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nFrequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.\nBasic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.\nProblems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.\nDecisions generally affect one's own job or assigned functional area.\nUses guidance/guidelines provided by supervisor/manager.\nAssignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.\nEssential Physical Demands/Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive a vehicle most of the time.\nMust be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time); use hands to operate machinery.\nMay need to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time.\nFrequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust.
