Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!\nResponsible for managing the monthly close process, timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, and ensuring adequate and proper financial reporting adhering to GAAP and internal controls.Essential Job Duties\nPerform general accounting activities, including preparing, maintaining, and reconciling o ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules.\nPrepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.\nProvide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget. Consolidate budget data received and prepare required budget reports.\nReview accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.\nManage process for accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements and budget reporting.\nInitiate and support continual process improvement.\nAct as a liaison for ad hoc reporting and audit requests from other internal departments.\nStay apprised of new accounting trends.\nReview various quarterly and year-end audit schedules, working with internal and external auditors.\nReview monthly financial statements for accuracy and completeness.\nAssume other duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nManage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance, and administering corrective action for staff.\nMinimum Requirements\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.\n5 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent; Proficient in specialty including prior senior lead/supervisor experience.\n3+ years supervisory experience.\nAdapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.\nPreferred Requirements\nCPA certification.\nExperience in a corporate accounting environment\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.\nFrequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.\nFrequently communicates complex information across departments and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.\nProblems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents, and practices.\nDecisions impact the management and operations within a department or business unit. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department.\nProvides and sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs.
