Your work will help engineering teams deliver more quickly, safely and consistently while improving the experience of developing and operating products on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nWorking alongside engineering, security, architecture and product teams, you'll have the opportunity to influence platform standards, improve developer productivity and create cloud capabilities used at scale across the organisation.\nIn this role, you’ll:\nDesign, build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services on Google Cloud Platform.\nDevelop reusable infrastructure patterns and Terraform modules that enable consistent, automated cloud deployments.\nImprove engineering productivity through automation, self-service tooling, CI/CD pipelines and platform capabilities.\nTranslate security, risk and policy requirements into automated controls and guardrails that support safe cloud adoption.\nCreate and enhance developer experiences through documentation, templates, workflows and platform automation.\nTake ownership of platform features from design through to delivery, contributing to operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nYou’ll also participate in an out-of-hours support rota and help shape engineering standards, tooling and ways of working across the Cloud Platform team.\nWhy Lloyds Banking Group\nWe’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. This is an opportunity to make a real impact, work with modern technologies and help build cloud capabilities that support the future of the organisation.\nWhat you'll need\nStrong experience designing, deploying and managing secure, scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including identity and access management, networking, observability and core cloud services.\nExperience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules, standard deployment patterns and automated delivery pipelines.\nSoftware engineering and automation experience using technologies such as Python, Go or Bash to develop tooling, automation and CI/CD solutions.\nExperience implementing cloud security controls and governance practices, translating security and risk requirements into effective engineering solutions.\nExperience delivering platform engineering capabilities that improve developer experience through reusable services, self-service tooling and automation.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges and deliver practical, scalable solutions.\nWe know that great talent comes from many backgrounds.
