You’ll play an important role in overseeing and enhancing our operational risk framework, working closely with stakeholders across the business to identify risks, challenge thinking and support positive outcomes.\nThis role offers broad exposure across operational risk, giving you the opportunity to influence how we manage risk in areas such as operational resilience, outsourcing and third-party risk, information security, data risk and regulatory compliance.\nYou'll have the autonomy to take ownership of key activities while working alongside experienced risk professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.\nWhat you'll do\nLead and deliver assigned operational risk oversight activities, including risk assessments, control testing, incident reviews and thematic analysis.\nMonitor risk exposures and assess alignment with risk policies, standards and appetite.\nProvide constructive, evidence-based challenge and practical recommendations to stakeholders across the business.\nIdentify emerging risks, trends and control weaknesses, helping drive continuous improvement.\nProduce clear and insightful reporting for senior management and risk committees.\nSupport the development and delivery of LIC's annual Risk Plan.\nPromote a strong risk culture through collaboration, communication and sharing good practice.\nBuild trusted relationships across LIC and its European branch network.\nWhat you'll bring\nWe're looking for a risk professional who combines analytical thinking with strong stakeholder engagement skills.\nYou'll ideally have:\nExperience within operational risk, risk management, compliance, audit or assurance.\nA strong understanding of operational and non-financial risk management frameworks.\nThe ability to analyse complex information and translate it into clear insights and recommendations.\nExperience working with stakeholders across multiple business areas.\nConfidence presenting information and providing challenge to senior colleagues.\nKnowledge of financial services and regulated environments.\nExperience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements. Exposure to Belgian or EU regulatory frameworks would be an advantage.\nInsurance experience is helpful, but not essential.
