At LMI, you’ll work alongside experts in data, technology, and policy to deliver practical solutions that improve operations, strengthen national security, and create lasting public value.\nPerform cost estimating of the client’s portfolio of communications, sensor, and surveillance systems and the infrastructure that supports them. These costs will be used in the contract award process as budgetary cycle inputs to support investment decisions and as elements of other program products and requirements to provide cost information to Congress, OMB, and other stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and update life cycle cost estimates (LCCEs) and independent government cost estimates (IGCEs) for the client’s programs and projects, as well as ad hoc estimates and analyses.\nConduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses.\nParticipate in program meetings and technical interchanges to remain current with program requirements.\nParticipate in the review and reconciliation of estimates developed by other contractors.\nPresent results of estimates in a variety of formats such as verbal presentations, narrative reports, and briefings charts\nGenerate estimates in accordance with DHS Headquarters and GAO Cost Assessment Guide standards to facilitate government review, third-party replication and validation, and future updates or enhancements.\nQualifications\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, finance, math, engineering, or a related discipline.\nRelevant cost estimating certifications with ICEAA or AACE is desired.\n3-10 years plus of experience.\nPrevious work with CBP or DHS is a plus.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and PowerBI.\nExperience with ACEIT and Crystal Ball software is a plus.\nAbility to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.\nAbility to effectively solve problems.\nStrong communication skills, both oral and written.\nA true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.\nAbility to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred.
