The result of this teamwork is high-performance, easy-to-implement and cost-effective 3D sensor technologies that deliver the best results in even the most challenging 3D inline inspection applications.\nWhat will you do as a Field Application Engineer?\nThe Field Application Engineer (FAE) will apply product knowledge of LMI sensors and networking products to support sales activities at a technical level. The FAE works closely with customers to resolve technical issues as well as interact with sales team members to support successful sales outcomes. Activities include timely response to application testing, code snippet development, troubleshooting, travelling with sales reps to assess the technical requirements of customers, recommending appropriate product solutions, and general support of the sales process to grow business for the region.\nYou will be reporting to the Field Application Engineering Team Lead.\nFrequent support of solution projects, including hardware setup and software deployment, testing and configuration\nFrequent visits to potential customer site to support pre-sales activity at a technical level\nPerform -testing of samples sent in by customers (to determine if our sensors meet the application requirements) and report results.\nWork closely with customers to identify technical requirements and propose solutions for customer’s applications\nCreate software that is used for test, demonstration and evaluation purposes to promote the use and sale of LMI products. All software is created within the R&D software design guidelines and in cooperation with the R&D department\nProvide training or product demonstrations to existing and potential customers on LMI’s premises or at the customer’s premises\nDevelop strong relationships with key customer personnel at technical levels\nLog all customer support interactions in LMI’s customer support ticketing software, ensure these records are updated regularly, and issues are resolved in the quickest time possible\nProduce training materials in cooperation with the sales and marketing departments\nTo be familiar with all of LMI’s processes for sales and marketing and work within and support these processes\nTo learn and become proficient in the operation, characteristics and performance of all LMI sensor products\nContinually provide feedback as to how LMI’s products or services can be improved to enhance our customer's experience\nWhat do you need to be successful?\nBachelor of Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering degree or equivalent\nMinimum 2-3 years of experience in the high technology industry / factory automation industry working on various projects relating to their area of study\nMinimum of 2-3 years customer service experience or equivalent work experience.\nStrong working knowledge of industry standards and best practices in their discipline\nExcellent knowledge of tools required by their discipline (Software - Visual Studio [C, C#, VB.NET], Labview, PLC programming, Mechanical - SolidWorks, Electronics - Wiring and setup, basic soldering skills) with demonstrated ability in past project accomplishments\nProblem solving skills using a clear understanding of facts and implementation of test plans and solution strategies\nSolid interpersonal skills for proper function in a team environment\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office and Google products\nExceptional organizational and prioritization skills\nSelf-motivated, have a positive attitude and a results oriented approach to business\nDemonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment\nA valid passport and the ability to travel frequently domestically or international\nTolerable against Frequent travel and onsite support\nHow to submit your interest?\nIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity and working for a fast-growing global technology company with an inspiring and engaging workplace environment, please submit your application to our Human Resources team in confidence by clicking the “Apply Now” button.\nWhile we appreciate your interest in LMI very much, we are only able to respond to candidates selected for further consideration.
