This initiative modernizes Governmentwide Indefinite Delivery Vehicle (IDV) contracting through modular, cloud-based services that improve efficiency, automation, and decision support across the acquisition lifecycle.\nThe AI Lead will serve as the senior authority responsible for defining and implementing the AI technical approach across the program. This individual must possess deep, hands-on expertise in integrating and orchestrating multiple AI agents into a cohesive, autonomous ecosystem and ensure the development team consistently follows that approach. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.\nResponsibilities\nAI Strategy & Technical Leadership\nServe as the primary authority for AI architecture, research, and implementation \nDefine and oversee the technical approach for integrating and orchestrating multiple AI agents into a unified ecosystem \nAlign AI initiatives with program objectives and GSA modernization goals \nEvaluate emerging AI technologies and guide their responsible application \nApplied AI Delivery & Machine Learning Operations\nLead design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML models into production environments \nImplement and manage MLOps practices, including model versioning, monitoring, validation, and lifecycle management \nIntegrate model development and deployment workflows into CI/CD pipelines \nEnsure AI solutions are reliable, performant, and maintainable within enterprise cloud environments \nFederal AI Governance & Compliance\nAlign AI implementations with federal IT standards and agency governance requirements \nIncorporate guidance from the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) and related cybersecurity standards. \nSupport security documentation and controls required for the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process for cloud-based systems \nChampion ethical, transparent, and compliant use of AI and data across the program \nEnsure data provenance, model transparency, explainability, and auditability to support trust and oversight. \nCloud & DevSecOps Integration\nDeploy and manage AI workloads within secure AWS cloud environments \nIntegrate security controls across the AI lifecycle consistent with DevSecOps principles \nEnsure AI components adhere to secure coding standards, access controls, and cloud security best practices \nCollaborate with team leadership to maintain compliance and audit readiness \nTeam & Stakeholder Collaboration\nLead and mentor the team as needed \nManage complex AI initiatives across multidisciplinary teams \nCommunicate AI concepts, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders \nFoster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and responsible AI adoption \nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nDemonstrated experience serving as an AI Lead (or equivalent role) on complex enterprise or federal technology programs \nAdvanced knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data science concepts (Master’s or Ph.D. strongly preferred) \nProven track record designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments \nExperience implementing MLOps practices and integrating model deployment into CI/CD pipelines \nExperience deploying and managing AI workloads within AWS cloud environments \nStrong understanding of federal IT standards, AI governance, and ATO-related security requirements \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nDesired Qualifications\nExperience supporting GSA or other federal AI modernization initiatives \nFamiliarity with multi-agent AI architectures and autonomous workflow orchestration \nRelevant certifications in cloud, AI/ML, or security disciplines \nExperience implementing AI solutions in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments \nThe target salary range for this position is $148,301-$255,653.\nThe salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.\nApplicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance.
