As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation.\n This position is located in the Big Bend region (Marfa/Presidio/Van Horn/Sierra Blanca) TX.\nRelocation assistance to this location will be available to qualified candidates.\nThis position will serve as a construction manager responsible for assisting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) execute its infrastructure construction, maintenance and repair program, which generally consists of the life cycle planning and execution of construction, maintenance and repair along the borders of the United States.\nThe construction project/quality manager shall have experience in project and construction management including planning, acquisition, execution, controlling and closing of projects. A background in design and or construction management is required. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.\nResponsibilities\nSupports the Government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) on the site daily.\nResponsible for site safety, permit compliance and coordination with other adjacent projects.\nMonitoring Contractor performance, scheduling, effectiveness and quality control.\nManage inspection and office staff. Responsible for record keeping, correspondence, compiling and delivering of required reports. Chair various project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes.\nReviews completed work of QA representatives/Con-reps for technical soundness, compliance to contract terms, adherence to schedules, and compliance to safety standards.\nReview and approve daily inspection reports and payment quantities in accordance with requirements.\nPrepare Change Orders for overruns, changed conditions and additional work for the COR as required.\nLog and Coordinate with the designer to respond to Contractors submittals, RFI's and shop drawings\nEnsure all work including design complies with CBP Tactical Infrastructure Design Standards.\nResponsible for successful project execution including management of scope, schedule, budget, risk and contractor performance\nResponsible for ensuring timely elevation of project issues to the COR for resolution\nIdentifies, evaluates, and mitigates risks, issues, and opportunities for construction efforts\nServes as the project expert and spokesperson for the project(s) with responsibility to present, explain, and defend program management issues and directions to higher-level official in CBP,\nDHS, and other government agencies and interested public groups\nCollaborates with the other CBP projects, Business Management, key stakeholders, and other offices throughout the construction efforts\nSupports project related outreach efforts as required\nQualifications\nExperience in one or more of the following areas:Construction management\nInfrastructure maintenance and or repair experience\nCivil/site design experience\n\n10+ years of relevant experience required.\n The ability to pass a background investigation will be required for this position. This will include (but not limited to): criminal history, driving record, educational verifications, etc. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.\nExperience in managing similar construction projects in size and scope.\nProfessional Engineering (PE), Engineering Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT) or registered architect (AIA) is a plus.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.\nAbility to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.\nAbility to effectively solve problems.\nStrong communication skills, both oral and written.\nA true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.\nExperience in managing simultaneously, multiple projects with independent schedules and budgets\nAbility to travel 25% of time\nPhysical Requirements. Candidates should be able to:Walk or climb to inspection points.\nHave mobility, endurance, and the ability to work in varied weather and terrain.\nWork in hot, cold, or humid conditions.\nMaintain focus and precision in inspection tasks.\n\nThis position is located in the Big Bend region, TX.\nSalary Range: $120,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually + benefits\nThe salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
