This role requires a deep understanding of cloud database technologies, performance tuning, and data security. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cloud platforms and database management systems, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the databases. Design, implement, and manage cloud-based database systems (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL). This team member will:\nMonitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.\nEnsure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.\nPerform regular backups, restore operations, and disaster recovery planning.\nTroubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.\nCollaborate with development teams to support application deployment and database integration.\nAutomate routine database tasks using scripting and automation tools.\nMaintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.\nStay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in cloud databases.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field\n3-10 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud environments\n Active Secret Clearance\nProficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud\nStrong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)\nExperience with database performance tuning and optimization\nFamiliarity with database security best practices and compliance standards\nExperience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)\nUnderstanding of networking concepts and protocols\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nSecurity+ or equivalent certification\nDesired Qualifications:\nCertifications such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer\nExperience with database migration and replication tools\nKnowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)\nFamiliarity with data warehousing and big data technologies (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)\nStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment\nTarget salary range: $77,000 - $125,000\nThe salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
