By creating a strong data infrastructure, it strives to enhance clinical decisions, enable personalised care, and promote predictive healthcare, revolutionising critical care in Europe. The key goals are to standardise Intensive Care Unit (ICU) data, develop a centralised data platform, promote cross-border analysis, and ensure privacy and security.As a Platform Security Engineer, you will support the security and reliability of LNDS\ninfrastructure and services. You will work as part of the technology team to help implement\nsecurity best practices across cloud environments, applications, data platforms, and operational services. You will contribute to the secure delivery of services supporting the ICUdata4EU initiative and collaborate with internal teams and European partners to help ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and operational.\nYou will be mentored by experienced colleagues and progressively develop autonomy in security engineering, cloud infrastructure, and secure software delivery practices.\nWhat you will do\nContribute to implementing and maintaining security controls across cloud platforms, infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport vulnerability management activities by helping identify, assess, track, and remediate security findings.\nAssist with monitoring security events, alerts, and operational security metrics and escalate issues when needed.\nParticipate in security assessments, audits, and compliance-related activities under guidance from senior team members.\nHelp ensure that infrastructure and application deployments follow security-by design and privacy-by-design principle\nContribute to maintaining secure system configurations, access management controls, and infrastructure-as-code resources.\nSupport incident response activities through investigation, documentation, and follow-up actions.\nCollaborate with development, platform, and data teams to help implement secure solutions that meet project requirements.\nDocument security processes, configurations, procedures, and operational practices.\nStay informed about emerging security technologies, vulnerabilities, and best practices and share knowledge within the team.\nWho you are\nMaster's degree in a scientific, technological, or engineering discipline related to computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or computing.\n0 to 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, system administration, DevOps, cloud engineering, or a related field.\nBasic knowledge of common cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.\nUnderstanding of Linux operating systems and system administration fundamentals.\nBasic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and firewalls.\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git.\nBasic exposure to cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-code concepts (e.g., Terraform).\nFamiliarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.\nBasic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to quality and continuous improvement.\nGood verbal and written communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.\nAdaptable, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and security practices.\nExcellent communication skills in
