We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.\n\n$2,000 sign on bonus when you join our team!\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nWork from different specifications, blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols \nLay out materials and components which are then welded into position by welders or robots \nWeld and assemble different pieces by using hand held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing) \nTest and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next department \nPrepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal \nLoad and operate robotic welders; troubleshoot basic programming issues and promptly inform Supervisor of any issues \nUtilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurements \nOperate cranes, hoists, lift tables, and lift trucks \nReport damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety \nReport all unsafe conditions to management \nPerforms other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. \nAssist and work in related areas in the manufacturing of products our business produces \nComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams. \nProtect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential. \nMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. \nContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed. \n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nNo minimum education required \n2+ years of relevant work experience \nPrior experience with solid core wires and argon/oxygen welding gasses \nPrior experience MIG welding of structural steel and plate \nIntermediate knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma machines and cutting torches using cutting steel, acetylene and other cutting methods\nIntermediate knowledge of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals\nKnowledge of and ability to work multiple working stations (tackout, weld out, deck assembly, frame weld, EOD, truck restraints)\nAttention to detail\nAbility to work within an ERP system\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds\nAbility to stand, walk, and sit up\nAbility to use hand to finger, handle, or feel\nAbility to climb or balance\nAbility to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl\nAbility to reach with hands and arms\nAbility to talk or hear\n\nThe pay range for this position is $19.04 - $29.06/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
