This position conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments, and compliance training programs. Effective communication skills are required to safely move railcars in, out, and around the facility. Experience in railyard operations and/or chemical plant loading is preferred, but not required. \n\nSchedule & Pay \nFull time, hourly, Non-exempt \nMonday-Friday 8-hour shift \n\nJob Requirements & Qualifications \nRequired one to two years' experience in health and safety, preferably in a plant environment \nMust possess and maintain an active Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card and valid Driver’s License \nDemonstrated stable work history with positive references from previous employers, indicating reliability and competence. \nSuccessfully pass drug screening test as well as physical and background check. \nJob Duties & Responsibilities \nLead safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and develop training plans based on assessment findings. \nReview current safety training programs and stay updated on all regulatory training requirements for employees. \nDocument improvements and additions to the facility's safety management program, including emergency preparedness, health and environmental manuals, and risk management plans. \nProcure safety gear and supplies required for the workplace to ensure that all personnel have adequate protection. \nDemonstrate familiarity with machinery and products used at the job site to identify potential safety hazards and implement appropriate safety measures. \nPossess strong leadership skills to effectively communicate safety protocols, enforce compliance, and promote a culture of safety among employees. \nFollow all safety rules, maintain a clean work area, and comply with environmental health and safety policies to mitigate risks and hazards. \nAdhere to OSHA safety standards and maintain a safety-conscious mindset to ensure a safe working environment. \nSupport rail fleet activities and address the needs of the loading team, business partners, and customers to ensure safe and efficient operations. \nWear all required PPE, including flame-resistant clothing (FRC), respirators, and fresh air equipment as necessary to protect against workplace hazards. \nPerform any other job duties as required, especially if assuming the role of site manager. \n\nPhysical Requirements \nFluent in English, including speaking, writing, reading, and listening comprehension, to effectively communicate and understand job-related instructions and information. \nBe comfortable working outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. \nWear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass
