You’ll connect fragmented data and user identities across the Emulator, CLI, VS Code extension, web app and docs, using rich product telemetry to understand how behaviour drives conversion, expansion and churn. You’ll help define what we build versus buy, establish better product analytics foundations, and turn usage data into insights that inform pricing, packaging and growth decisions. You’ll work closely with highly technical teams and have significant ownership in shaping how product analytics, data tooling and AI-assisted ways of working evolve at LocalStack.\nWe Expect you to accomplish in this role:\nBuild and evangelise product analytics foundations, delivering actionable insight for GTM, Finance, Marketing, Product and Engineering teams on how the product is being bought and used (across PLG and SLG channels)\n\nConnect the user journey across the Emulator, CLI, VS Code extension, console, docs site, website, offering a 360 degree customer view view into customer behaviour (for all types: human, CI, AI agent) and composites (e.g. human + AI)\n\nTranslate complex datasets into clear insights with strategic recommendations that drive measurable actions and outcomes that impact the product success\n\nUnderstand how data currently flows at LocalStack and work with technical teams to develop enrichment to deliver the product analytics vision\n\nDevelop insights that prove out the value proposition / ROI for customers in collaboration with customers and customer facing teams\n\nSpecialist Skills/ Experience\n7+ years in data analytics role with a strong focus on product analytics\n\nExperience modelling a unified system, showcasing architecture level thinking\n\nStrong experience with complex SQL and ideally programming languages such as Python.\n\nExperience with web and product analytics tools such as Posthog, GA4, Segment, RudderStack, Heap, Amplitude, Contentsquare, or equivalent\n\nExperience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to quickly prototype and iterate across analysis, data modeling, instrumentation, visualization and code development.\n\nValues we hold in LocalStack\nCare: we create with compassion.
