Our focus is not just developing AI algorithms - we build the reusable software ecosystem that allows those capabilities to be discovered, integrated, tested, deployed, and scaled across programs.\nAs a Cognitive Baseline intern, you will work alongside software engineers, AI/ML engineers, DevSecOps engineers, product leadership, and technical leads on real engineering challenges supporting Lockheed Martin’s broader Applied AI mission.\nThe selected candidate will focus on the development of software products that implement Artificial Intelligence to provide discriminating capability to our customers. This will require engagement in every phase of the system development lifecycle including requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, integration, and flight test. Activities will range from proof of concepts, development of prototypes, building demonstrators, and transition to production.\nMust exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management and interpersonal skills. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.\nBasic Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.\nExperience programming in at least one language such as Python, C++, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.\nUnderstanding of fundamental software engineering concepts, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, version control, and software testing.\nAbility to collaborate effectively within a technical team.\nDesired Skills\nCandidates are not expected to have experience in all of the following areas.
