We are seeking an experienced Technical officer - Airframe Engine to provide technical analysis, maintenance documentation, airworthiness support, and engineering sustainment services within the UH-60M Helicopter Program Office (UHSPO).\nThis role offers the opportunity to work closely with Defence stakeholders, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), engineering teams, and aviation maintenance specialists to ensure the ongoing safety, reliability, and airworthiness of a complex military aircraft fleet.\nResponsibilities\nAs part of the UHSPO Sustainment Team, you will be responsible for processing and analysing technical information, developing technical publications and maintenance instructions, and supporting ongoing sustainment programs including Reliability, Condition Monitoring, and Continued Airworthiness activities.\nYou will play a key role in reviewing technical data, investigating defects and occurrences, supporting maintenance program changes, and ensuring technical documentation remains accurate, compliant, and operationally effective.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview and process technical information and Technical Information Requests (TIRs) within Emerald2.\nInvestigate and manage occurrence reports in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams.\nConvert OEM service bulletins and US Army safety messages into ADF-compliant technical instructions.\nLiaise with OEMs and US Army stakeholders to obtain and interpret technical advice.\nAnalyse defect reports and recommend corrective actions.\nSupport condition monitoring programs, including:\nVibration analysis\nSpectrometric Oil Analysis\nIntegrated Vehicle Health Management System (IVHMS) data review\nProvide technical advice and support to the Military Air Operator.\nReview externally approved repairs and convert repair instructions into ADF-compliant documentation.\nCollaborate with maintenance requirements determination (MRD) practitioners on changes to maintenance schedules, aircraft build structures, and ACRN sets.\nDevelop and publish non-standard maintenance instructions and Letters of Authority.\nAuthor and update maintenance publication content while working closely with technical publications teams.\nSupport logistics teams by assessing alternative sources of supply and sustainment solutions.\nAssist Design Engineers with Supplies Acceptance activities for externally approved designs.\nProvide technical advice relating to Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Special Purpose Test Equipment (S&TE).\nConduct peer reviews and approvals of technical decisions and Emerald2 records.\nSupport ALSE, Role Equipment, and PED clearance activities.\nAbout You\nYou are a technically capable aviation professional with strong maintenance and sustainment experience, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for supporting safe and effective aircraft operations.\nEssential Requirements\nCertificate IV or higher qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably Aeroskills Mechanical or equivalent.\nDemonstrated experience using CAMM2.\nSignificant experience within aviation maintenance environments.\nStrong technical analysis and problem-solving capability.\nExperience interpreting technical data and translating requirements into practical maintenance outcomes.\nWell-developed skills across Microsoft Office and relevant technical systems and applications.\nStrong written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with engineering, maintenance, logistics, and operational stakeholders.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience within aviation quality and logistics environments.\nExperience working within a Defence System Program Office (SPO) or similar Defence aviation organisation.\nFamiliarity with aircraft reliability programs, condition monitoring, and airworthiness frameworks.\nExperience authoring or managing technical publications and maintenance instructions.\nAbout Lockheed Martin\nLockheed Martin is a dynamic organisation, providing stimulating and challenging opportunities with a global team of over 122,000 professionals.
