Typically considered a Junior or Senior. Candidate will be working in an intern role supporting development and analysis of a large missile defense simulation system in a small team environment on the C2BMC program. The selected candidate will support the automation team by helping to build and maintain an automated pipeline that tests software across several labs, using Bash scripting and CI/CD tools like Jenkins to enable rapid, reliable test execution. Intern will be expected to work with mentors in developing their knowledge and skillset as needed.\nProfessional Attributes\nDemonstrated attention to detail, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to meet deadlines.Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and domain-specific concepts (e.g., C2BMC concepts, CI/CD pipelines).\nBasic Qualifications\nPursuing a BS degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems / Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Data Science / AnalyticsMust be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.\nDoD Interim Secret Security Clearance required prior to start date.\n• Preference to obtain a DoD 8570 compliant Security+ certification before the start date; required to be obtained no later than 30 days after the start date and maintained thereafter.\n\nFamiliarity with the Linux command line (able to navigate directories, run basic commands).\nExperience with any scripting or programming language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Java) - enough to write, debug, and maintain basic scripts.\nBasic exposure to a version-control system (e.g., Git - able to commit, pull, and push changes).\nDesired Skills\nBash as the preferred scripting language (experience writing and maintaining Bash scripts).\nHands-on experience with system administration, software integration, and testing on Windows and/or UNIX/Linux platforms (through coursework, labs, or prior internships).\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar (building, triggering, and monitoring pipelines).\nExperience developing or supporting an automated pipeline for testing software (e.g., script-based test execution, result collection, reporting).\nFamiliarity with Git beyond basics (branching, pull-requests, code review).\nExposure to Python, PowerShell, or Java (ability to read/modify existing code).\nExposure to data-science fundamentals (ETL, data collection/processing/cleaning, simple visualization, exploratory analysis)\nExperience writing clear installation/configuration guides or other technical documentation.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills - able to document work, ask clarifying questions, and report progress.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $20.14 - $28.15\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
