Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:\n- Provide detailed financial models on prospective Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) targets\n- Conduct research and analysis in support of the initial screening and qualification of M&A candidates\n- Support M&A transaction as needed including assisting with due diligence activity\n- Develop reports, analysis, and presentations on both the Corporation's M&A activity as well as on M&A activity within the Aerospace / Defense industry.\nCandidate for this position should be able to work both independently and in teams.\nPreferred candidate will be local to the Bethesda, MD area\nBasic Qualifications\n- Experience developing and applying financial models and using financial theory with a Bachelor's degree in a Financial discipline and commensurate work experience.\n- Experience in investing or similar financial transactional or industry experience\n- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint, and financial research tools such as CapIQ\n- Effective communication skills\nDesired Skills\n- 5-7+ years work experience\n-Master's or MBA\n- Strong familiarity with financial statements, investment analysis, and valuation methodologies\n- Defense / Aerospace industry experience\n- M&A experience\n- Strong verbal and written communication skills\n- Effective organizational skills and attention to detail\nPay Information\nGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
