In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you’ll draw on all your education and experience as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep the threats at bay.\nTHE WORK\nAs a Database Engineer - Junior-Level you will be responsible for:\nProvides technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis\nDevelops relational and/or Object-Oriented databases, database parser software, and database loading software\nProjects long-range requirements for database administration and design\nResponsible for developing a database structure that fits into the overall architecture of the system under development and has to make trades among data volumes, number of users, logical and physical distribution, response times, retention rules, security and domain controls.\nThe DBE works primarily at the front end of the lifecycle-requirements through system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability (IOC)\nDevelops requirements from a project’s inception to its conclusion for a particular business and Information Technology (IT) subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems)\nAssist with recommendations for, and analysis and evaluation of systems improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts\nTranslates a set of requirements and data into a usable document by creating or recreating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros; updates existing queries, creates new ones to manipulate data into a master file; and builds complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity and database storage and retrieval using Cloud methodologies\nWHO WE ARE\nThe program is on fire for cyber. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements. Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.\nBasic Qualifications\nFamiliarity with relational and non-relational databases to include but not limited to Oracle, Postgres, Mongo and Redis. Experience with SQL and the associated tools (SQL Developer, etc…)\nSupport the development of long and short-term requirements for database administration and design.\nNo demonstrated experience is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
