Five (5) years of DBE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with performance tuning and query optimization.\nProficiency in Linux/Unix environments and CLI tools like psql.\nExperience with logical and physical replication, partitioning, and backup strategies.\nFamiliarity with monitoring tools (e.g., pg_stat_statements, Prometheus, Grafana).\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, indexes, and queries for performance and scalability.\nMonitor and tune database performance using native tools and custom scripts.\nImplement and maintain high availability (HA) and replication strategies.\nCollaborate with developers to refine complex queries and stored procedures.\nAutomate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).\nDocument database architecture, processes, and best practices.\nKnowledge of scripting languages for automation and tooling.\nDesired Skills\nExperience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL).\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).\nExposure to other RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) or NoSQL systems is a plus.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
