We are looking for a highly motivated Electro-Optical Lead Systems Engineer to become a member of the Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) and drive requirements and verification through all system design reviews to sell-off. You will be responsible for end-to-end development, maintenance, and governance of the requirements for Electro-Optical designs across the program lifecycle, from preliminary design through deployment. As part of the systems group you will lead a team in the development and management of specifications, requirements and verification material, interface documents, and related engineering documents. This will leading coordination of the systems team across multiple geographically distributed sites and interacting with the larger program team, sub-contractor teams, customer team, and management.\nYour responsibilities in this role will include the following:\nBe a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team designing, building, and deploying the system.\nPlan and manage the systems engineering work, and lead team to success.\nCollaborate with engineers, program managers, and subject-matter experts to develop, analyze, and verify system requirements and interfaces and document & manage accordingly.\nOversee technical execution of component needs as well as drive cross-functional groups to deliver solutions to meet system and customer requirements.\nCoordinate with engineering to execute verification analyses and tests.\nParticipate in and drive system engineering, analysis, and integration activities,\nOrganize/coordinate/develop system compliance objective evidence creation and documentation.\nSupport organization and coordination of system design reviews.\nBasic Qualifications\nExperienced leading teams with complex, competing priorities maximizing success across multiple objectives and constraints\nProficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) including experience with Cameo or similar.\nExperience with requirements management and verification (including requirement engineering, requirements management, verification and validation, test planning)\nProducing and maintaining ICDs\nUnderstanding of systems architecture, interface control, and requirement traceability concepts.\nExcellent communication skills-able to produce clear documentation and present technical information to diverse audiences.\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and influence without direct authority.\nDoD TS required\nDesired Skills\nBachelors degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering or STEM discipline\nExperience with space-based electro-optical payload systems and their sub-systems and components; including design, development, testing; EO/IR, RF, electro-optical, sensor, laser, spacecraft, and ground systems\nKnowledge of industry-standard verification methodologies as well as tools such as IBM DOORS or equivalent\nFamiliarity with traceability between requirements, design, verification and objective evidence\nExperience with reviewing and evaluating verification Objective Evidence and collaborating with engineering design teams to identify and resolve verification issues\nPrior experience with planning and execution of major milestone reviews (such as SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)\nKnowledge of systems engineering for full space mission architectures, including both space and ground segments\nExperience with new mission and system architecture development, concept development, and technology maturation.\nFamiliarity with one or more of the following: electronics and FPGA technical experience, electro-optical sensor system technical experience, space-based systems technical experience\nExperience working with multi-disciplinary technical and/or engineering teams\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail\nExperience in programs ranging from Class A to Class D development environments\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice \nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $166900.00 - $309900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
