The Electronics Engineer IV is an individual contributor on the D5LE - Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program. You will design and integrate hardware for Automated Test Equipment (ATE). Work is performed under the direction of EGSE leadership and is focused on delivering hardware deliverables on schedule. This position is responsible for the strategic design, development, integration, and validation of the D5LE EGSE equipment used to verify critical FBM components and subsystems. The role bridges system engineering, hardware design, software development, and test operations to ensure EGSE solutions meet mission performance, schedule, and cost objectives.\nKey activities you will accomplish in this role:\nProvide technical leadership in design reviews (PDR, CDR, Test Readiness Review) and resolve any open technical issues.\nLead continuous process improvement efforts for the D5LE EGSE Portfolio.\nWork on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.\nResolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation, review and presentation of Product Certification, and also support system level testing.\nDefine the overall EGSE architecture, standards, and interfaces in alignment with parent system requirements.\nTo be effective in this role, you will need:\nExperience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.\nExperience in electronics hardware design, development, and integration for aerospace/defense or high-reliability platforms.\n8+ years professional experience.\nEligible for a DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (or higher) as required by the program\nExperience in electronics hardware design, development, and integration for aerospace/defense or high-reliability platforms\nDesired Skills\nDefense & Aerospace Domains: A background or familiarity with aerospace systems, defense technologies, or working directly alongside government/military clients.\nAgile & Collaboration Tools: Familiarity navigating Agile frameworks and platform management environments like JIRA, Git, and Confluence.\nTroubleshooting & Field Verification: Advanced on-site diagnostics, systems testing architecture, and hardware/software integration testing.\nDevelop end-to-end EGSE architecture using Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML, MagicDraw, or similar)\nExperience with PXI, National Instruments chassis, and modular test platforms\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice\n\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
