AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.\nAs a Field Service Representative (FSR), you’ll be part of the integrated Lockheed Martin Australia (LMA) and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) workforce, supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of AIR6500 systems.\nKey responsibilities\nPerforming routine maintenance, testing and system upgrades in accordance with approved technical manuals and maintenance procedures.\nDiagnosing and repairing communications equipment, computer systems, digital signal processing (DSP) equipment and control systems.\nConducting diagnostic testing and performance analysis of communications and IT equipment\nInvestigating faults, repairing equipment and supporting root cause analysis to minimise repair turnaround times.\nResponding to RAAF technical support requests and providing technical information to assist with fault diagnosis.\nSupporting modification order integration activities in accordance with approved processes.\nHandling and storing COMSEC Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) and key material in accordance with security procedures.\nMaintaining tool control and compliance with maintenance, safety and security requirements.\nMentoring team members and maintaining current technical skills.\nDomestic travel will be required to support deployed capabilities, including operations in remote and austere environments. International travel may also be required.\nAbout You\nEssential:\nTrade certificate in Communications and Electronics, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.\nSignificant experience in a highly regulated environment, such as Defence, aviation or an industry covered by the SOCI Act.\nSignificant experience in systems administration, networking, hardware and software management, release management, configuration management and incident management.\nExperience working within a Maintenance Management System (MMS) or Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nStrong technical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.\nAbility to provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to team members.\nDesirable:\nRecent Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or CompTIA Linux+ certification.\nPrevious experience handling COMSEC materials.\nExperience working on a sustainment project delivered to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).\nExperience maintaining high-power RF transmitters, receivers, transponders, antennas, interface equipment and associated control systems.\nExperience deploying technical equipment to remote locations.\nAbout Lockheed Martin\nLockheed Martin is a dynamic organisation, providing stimulating and challenging opportunities with a global team of over 122,000 professionals.
