The role requires executing a range of financial functions including, budgeting/forecasting, cost accounting and reporting, to consolidate financial results (orders, sales, EBIT, cash, ROIC, overheads, discretionary funding) and deliver contractual cost and schedule reports. Leveraging multiple financial systems, the analyst performs variance, trend, and workforce-planning analyses, identifies risks and opportunities. The incumbent develops forward looking dashboards and visual analytics that support strategic decision making and provides actionable financial recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nGenerating month to month and period end reports that capture all key financial metrics (Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash, OSEC, ROS%, and overhead costs), ensuring cost allocation accuracy and alignment with forecasted figures.\nReviewing and reconciling program cost allocation actuals against established procedures, providing clear explanations and variance analyses to senior stakeholders.\nAssisting in budgeting and forecasting efforts by gathering assumptions, connecting with cross functional teams, and contributing to the consolidation of forecast data.\nAdministering customer invoicing, debtor management, and cash flow monitoring to maintain healthy liquidity.\nSupporting contract audits, sample based true-up processes, and ad-hoc financial reviews (monthly, quarterly, annual).\nTracking program profitability (ROS%) and developing insights that inform profitability and risk mitigation strategies.\nCollaborating with finance and program stakeholders to diagnose moderately complex finance issues and codesign effective solutions.\nThe role requires a strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for a regulated, defence contracting environment\nAbout You:\nProven expertise in accounting and finance, with a strong handle on accounting principles, concepts, and standards\nA track record of delivering accurate financial analysis and insightful advice\nExperience liaising directly with customers or external stakeholders, translating technical financial information into clear, actionable communication\nDemonstrated ability to produce timely, concise written reports and presentations for internal and external audiences\nAdvanced computer proficiency - competent in data analysis and report generation using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and related financial tools\nFamiliarity with enterprise ERP systems\nCA or CPA qualified (or undertaking studies)\nWhy you’ll fit in:\nYour background aligns with the demanding, mission-critical environment of the AIR 6500 Program, a perfect match for a finance analyst or project accountant who can turn complex data into strategic insight.\nAbout Lockheed Martin:\nLockheed Martin is a dynamic organisation, providing stimulating and challenging opportunities with a global team of over 122,000 professionals.
