Implementing a tailored learning solution, Lockheed Martin leads the delivery for all Royal Australian Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army candidates, as well as supporting operations for other key Australian Defence Force aviation.\nOpportunity is subject to award. Ideal commencement is January 2027.\nKey Responsibilities\nResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:\nProviding classroom instruction in aviation subjects. \nSupporting the design of new programs, providing ground school instruction on a wide range of aircraft subjects, evaluate training materials including Aircraft systems, operation procedures, emergency procedures, troubleshooting, navigation, aerodynamics, radio communications, ADF air regulations, and ADF policies.\nAdministering, and scoring tests, maintaining class records, evaluate and determining and reporting on student proficiency and offer student counselling as required. \nSupporting the development of new methods, techniques, and training aids for increased efficiency.\nLiaising with ADF flying school executive team. \nWhat You'll Bring\nThis opportunity could suit ex-military flying instructor, ground school instructors, pilots or other relevant transferrable skills, including, but not limited to:\nExperience in delivering training in aviation instruction, aviation flight theory, pilot training, ground school training or equivalent.\nAbility to understand and articulate a Training Plan and recommend adjustments to the training system as required. \nAbility to communicate training to students with varying technical and working experience.\nAn ability to simplify and explain complex concepts like aerodynamics and aircraft systems to students.\nExcellent technical writing and editing skills. \nFamiliar with Microsoft Office 365.\nAbility to travel interstate\nDesired Skills\nWhile not essential, the following skills would be desirable:\nCertificate 4 in Training and Assessment. \nHigh level of teaching skills based upon formal teaching qualifications and / or extensive ground instructional experience gained within the aviation industry or equivalent military training environment.\nKnowledge of ADF learning methodologies like Systems Approach to Defence Learning and Manual of Air Force Education and Training.\nLearning Management Systems (for e.g. MOODL).\nSubject knowledge in aviation theory courses up to ATPL.\nSubject knowledge in Aviation Non-Technical Skills.\nDon't meet every requirement?\nIf you're excited by this opportunity but don't meet every criterion, we'd still love to hear from you.
