Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.\nAs part of the Product Engineering team, the candidate will lead the design and delivery of integrated hardware solutions for Naval Combat Management Systems (CMS), ensuring that individual equipment elements are brought together into cohesive, scalable, and operationally effective product solutions. The role oversees hardware product maturation across the CMS lifecycle, from solution definition and equipment selection through integration, deployment, and evolution.\nSpecific position responsibilities\nThe candidate will perform the following:\nDefine and design integrated hardware solutions aligned with CMS product objectives and customer needs.\nLead the integration of diverse hardware elements into complete operational configurations.\nDevelop and evaluate hardware solution options and trade-offs.\nDrive consistency across equipment selection, physical configuration, interfaces, and deployment approaches.\nSupport platform-specific adaptations while preserving product commonality.\nIdentify hardware dependencies, integration considerations, and implementation constraints.\nCollaborate with engineering disciplines to ensure hardware solutions are compatible with the broader CMS product.\nContribute to technology roadmaps, modernization initiatives, and hardware refresh strategies.\nProvide technical leadership during customer reviews and solution development activities.\nSupport to project planning and execution tracking.\nWork scope Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.\nBasic Qualifications\nRequired Skills\nPossesses a bachelor’s in engineering or related area of study with minimum five years of professional experience in field, or minimum three years of professional experience with a related master’s degree\nCommunicates effectively with technical and non-technical members of the engineering/management staff and personnel assigned to related work\nProficiency with Microsoft Office tool suite.\nFamiliarity with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)\nKnowledge of requirement management for HW lifecycle, from design to procurement and obsolescence\nDesired Skills\nDesired Skills\nThe following skills and certification are considered as assets:\nExperience leading product development via Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence\nFamiliarity with Earned Value Management\nExperienced in project management and planning tools such as Microsoft Project\nFamiliarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented
