Manages the analysis and designing of sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and the establishment of methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. May oversee establishment or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Oversees Industrial Engineers conducting studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, monitors the development and implementation plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist overseeing facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.\nBasic Qualifications\nB.S. in Industrial Engineering or related discipline\n5+ years or more of professional manufacturing related experience\nMust have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance\nDesired Skills\nExtensive technical knowledge and experience in the areas of manufacturing and work process flows\nExperience with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives\nHands on experience in conducting Capacity Resource Planning (equipment and manpower analysis), equipment installation\nKnowledge of capital planning and space planning efforts to support production rate increases and new business\nDrive internal initiatives such as Process Improvements, Lean, and Manufacturing Technology enhancements and by improving the business processes used to execute\nRecurring and Non-recurring support\nStrong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills.
