The successful candidate will help strengthen the IE team’s technical capability, create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and develop engineers who can independently lead change across the business.\nKey responsibilities include:\nLead, mentor, and develop Industrial Engineers supporting Denver production operations.\nBalance direct technical contribution with team leadership and day-to-day execution support.\nDrive a change-agent culture within the IE team and across production organizations.\nHelp prioritize team workload based on business impact, operational risk, and production need.\nCoach engineers toward stronger problem ownership, technical judgment, and cross-functional influence.\nPartner across Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, Quality, and Program teams to improve execution and resolve complex issues.\nSupport adoption of improved processes, tools, automation, and standardized ways of working.\nStrengthen team operating mechanisms, knowledge transfer, succession depth, and accountability.\nServe as a trusted technical and leadership resource to the Industrial Engineering Manager and production leadership.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\nExperience working in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.\nDemonstrated experience leading projects, teams, workstreams, or cross-functional improvement efforts.\nDemonstrated ability to mentor, coach, or develop others.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to influence across organizational boundaries and drive issues to closure.\nAbility to balance technical work, team priorities, and leadership responsibilities in a dynamic environment.\nDesired Skills\nPrevious formal or informal people-leadership experience.\nExperience developing technical talent or helping build, scale, or transform an engineering organization.\nDemonstrated change-management or continuous-improvement leadership.\nExperience supporting production ramp-up, manufacturing readiness, or complex production environments.\nExperience introducing or improving tools, automation, digital capabilities, or standardized processes.\nStrong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to build a team culture of accountability, constructive challenge, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
