This position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership to drive operational performance across cost, schedule, staffing, and capacity.\nThe selected candidate will oversee industrial engineering activities including workforce planning, labor forecasting, capacity analysis, production planning, manufacturing optimization, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency, resource utilization, and overall program performance.\nThe manager will collaborate closely with Operations, Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, and other functional organizations to identify operational challenges, develop data-driven solutions, and drive execution of improvement initiatives. You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments, excel at balancing competing priorities, and enjoy influencing decisions across multiple stakeholders.\nFurther Information About This Opportunity\nMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, as required by the position.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nExperience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, production planning, or a related technical discipline.\nDemonstrated experience managing technical teams, including employee development, performance management, and resource allocation.\nExperience supporting manufacturing cost, schedule, staffing, and capacity planning and execution.\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable operation improvements.\nExperience utilizing data analytics and performance metrics to support operational decision-making.\nDesired Skills\nAdvanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.\nExperience leading industrial engineering teams in an aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated success managing and developing large technical teams while establishing accountability and driving organizational performance.\nExperience supporting advanced development programs with evolving requirements, competing priorities, and manufacturing execution uncertainty.\nStrong understanding of labor forecasting, workforce planning, manufacturing capacity analysis, production scheduling, and cost management.\nExperience developing and executing strategic initiatives aligned with program and organizational objectives.\nDemonstrated ability to establish performance management systems, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective countermeasures.\nExperience applying Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other structured continuous improvement methodologies.\nProficiency with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent applications.\nAbility to build strong working relationships with Operations, Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Finance, and other functional stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, influence decisions, and drive organizational change.\nStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively engage senior leadership.\nFamiliarity with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics manufacturing systems, processes, and business operations.\nActive U.S. government security clearance.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
