And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.\nJoin us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you!\nAs a member of the FBM Avionics team in the FBM Program Integration directorate, you’ll work on the team responsible for leading the FBM Age Management efforts for assessing the Trident II (D5) Flight System based on calendar life degradation and functional operation from initial manufacture to removal from service. This role is responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and technical scope of engineering evaluations related to age risks on the flight system assemblies.\nThis Role\nThis Project Engineer will be supporting the Avionics D5/LE team. The key responsibilities include:\nPerforming Project Engineering duties for various age management initiatives\nReviewing actuals, metrics, and schedule\nIdentifying issues and deep diving to determine root cause and corrective action\nProactive project management (early risk identification, deconflicting long-range schedule conflicts, and proper communication to stakeholders).\nCommunication with suppliers & subcontract management teams to align schedule and cost with delivery dates.\nSupporting the Age Management D5/LE IPT lead by presenting status, risks, opportunities and long-range plans.\nCoordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.\nBasic Qualifications\nProven experience with managing schedules, budget, and subcontracts deliverables.\nUnderstanding of Earned Value Management\nUnderstanding of project lifecycles & development programs\nExcellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups\nProven ability to work successfully across functional groups and with internal and external customers\nWilling to go the extra mile to support program requirements and adapt easily to changing priorities.\nExceptional organizational skills\nProficient Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)\nDegree from an accredited college\nDesired Skills\nCAM Certified\nUnderstanding of the D5/LE program and / or Special Test Equipment (STE) or Fleet/Flight Electrical Support Equipment\nRisk Management experience\nEngineering Degree\nMBA Degree\nThorough understanding of the FBM procurement processes for hardware\nProposal experience\nExperience leading in a dynamic environment, requiring ability to pivot and drive results\nInterview Questions\nProject Management: Tell me about the most difficult challenge you have faced in getting others to follow your lead in completing an assignment.
