Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible.\nThe Work\nThe Submarine C5I Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) program is seeking a full-time, highly motivated Lead Systems Engineer to define and drive modeling strategy, system-of-systems integration, and agile delivery across a complex program environment. This role combines MBSE technical expertise with program coordination, boundary adjudication, team leadership, and direct customer engagement. The ideal candidate will bridge technical leadership execution with cross-enterprise facilitation and agile process support, aligning goals, managing schedules, driving process excellence, and fostering a high-performing collaborative environment.\nWho You Are\nKey Responsibilities:\nEstablish a modeling roadmap aligned with program objectives and track associated metrics\nPrepare and present modeling status in business rhythm meetings\nAssist in implementing and managing Model Federation architectures to enable interoperability across distributed modeling teams; define version control strategies, merge protocols, and consistency validation processes to maintain integrated model integrity across the system-of-systems environment\nLead system-of-systems engagement: define and resolve subsystem interfaces, ownership, and model consistency across the integrated architecture (boundary adjudication); establish, document, and enforce best practice guidelines for model utilization\nCoordinate model engagement meetings across the system-of-systems enterprise: set agenda topics, manage participant list, document action items, facilitate stakeholder alignment on modeling priorities, and ensure follow-through on model consistency, federation, and interface commitments. Maintain a centralized repository of meeting inputs, outcomes, and commitments\nSupport JIRA Epic/Feature lifecycle: translate objectives into concrete tasking for the team by creating user stories, defining acceptance criteria, identifying risks/dependencies, prioritizing tasks to align with program milestones, and assigning tasks to the team considering capacity and skillsets\nFacilitate Agile methodology rhythms: lead increment and sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives; capture process improvement items from retrospectives and work with leadership to implement where necessary\nWhy Join Us\nYour Health, Your Wealth, Your Life\nOur flexible schedules, competitive pay and comprehensive benefits enable you to live a healthy, fulfilling life at and outside of work.\nBasic Qualifications\nTo excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:\nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance; this position will require a government security clearance\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field) from an accredited institution with 6+ years of related experience; or comparable experience in lieu of degree\nHands-on proficiency in SysML v1.x and/or v2.x with demonstrated application in Cameo (or an equivalent MBSE tool)\nDemonstrated experience with requirements development, decomposition, and traceability\nDemonstrated experience leading a small team, defining work, and facilitating technical decision-making\nProject leadership experience managing scope, schedule, and deliverables\nExperience interfacing with customers or external partners; experience presenting technical solutions, managing stakeholder expectations, and integrating customer requirements into system architecture \nDesired Skills\nWorking knowledge of Java or C to evaluate how software implementation details impact the model and downstream artifact production\nExperience with Model Federation architectures\nFamiliarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence products, including experience with agile project planning, issue tracking, and collaboration tools\nExperience with program coordination and cross-enterprise engagement\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with a high degree of technical and interpersonal competency\nSelf-motivated with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership, and accountability for tasks/assignments\nFamiliarity with XML, JSON, YAML data serialization formats used to store, transport, and structure data\nFamiliarity with Object Oriented methodology \nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
