  • Lead structural dynamics analyses that shape the performance and survivability of missile and spacecraft flight hardware, from early concept through flight.
  • Develop, refine, and own high-fidelity dynamic models using both in-house and industry-standard tools to simulate mechanical loads, environments, and functionality.
  • Analyze components and systems to generate actionable design criteria and validated engineering solutions.
  • Partner across multidisciplinary engineering teams to perform design trades, guide architecture decisions, and ensure requirements and objectives are met throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Define and support static and dynamic test requirements, oversee test execution, and lead data reduction and correlation efforts to ensure alignment between analysis and test.
  • Prepare and present technical findings with clarity and confidence to internal teams, customers, and program leadership at key design reviews and technical forums.
  • Deliver high-quality analysis products and documentation.

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or similar technical field (Physics, Mathematics, etc.) with 5+ years of professional experience
  • Significant professional experience leading dynamics analyses that could include but are not limited to quasi-statics, shock, random vibration, sine vibration, vibro-acoustic, and/or multi-body dynamics
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting using Matlab, Python, or equivalent
  • Willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship Required

Desired Skills

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Prior experience as a technical team lead or subject matter expert
  • Experience building and correlating dynamics models with test data for model validation
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal, self-motivated, and able and willing to support multiple projects
  • Active Secret or higher security clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
