In this role you’ll ensure precision machined parts meet exacting specifications, keep machines running smoothly, and support the production of critical defense systems.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nAs the operator of computer numerical control (CNC) equipment you will:\nMeasure finished workpieces with precision instruments, templates and fixtures to verify conformance to drawings.\nMount, install, align and secure tools, fixtures, attachments and workpieces using hand tools and measuring devices.\nStop machines as needed to remove parts, change tooling or adjust work piece placement according to the machining sequence.\nTransfer machining commands from servers to CNC modules via network links.\nMonitor lubrication and cooling to ensure proper machine operation.\nPerform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines and tooling.\nRead and interpret blueprints, technical plans and CNC programs to set up operations.\nCommunicate any issues or deviations clearly to supervisors and engineering staff.\nBasic Qualifications\nBasic CNC experience.\nGeneral knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.\nKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.\nDue to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens\n• Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 3x12 weekend \"D\" shift- as required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. \nDesired Skills\nKnowledge of hand measuring instruments\nPay Information\n$20.80 - $28.04\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
