This is a critical position in the organization as the person selected will serve as primary POC for floor support, producibility, and overall build execution. Your contribution will be critical as we continue to ensure those we serve always stay ahead of ready.\nAs a Manufacturing Engineer Sr, you will:\n· Provide floor support for the execution of a determinant assembly build\n· Serve as primary POC for build constraints and identify resolution\n· Coordinate with other functional organizations to ensure the build progress continues on schedule\n· Apply Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) Principles into early design reviews to reduce complexity, cost, and lead time\n· Define and optimize sequence of operations, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing and material handling taking into account flow and lean philosophies.\n· Identify any new tooling & fixturing requirements in partnership with tool engineering\n· Review worm instructions and will provide feedback for their improvement\n· Support transition to full rate production of a range of products\nThe ideal candidate will possess exceptional critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. The candidate must excel in cross-functional collaboration, exhibit strong organizational and project management capabilities, and quickly develop relationships to influence outcomes. The successful applicant will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound engineering, judgement and accountability. Additionally, the candidate must consistently deliver high-quality work products in a fast-paced environment with demanding schedules and be able to contribute effectively within a cross-functional team environment.\nPerforms in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.\nBasic Qualifications\n· STEM Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering preferred)\n· Military aircraft assembly experience (fighters preferred)\n· 5+ years floor support experience in a production engineering, quality engineering, production operations, or project engineering role\n· Root Cause and Corrective Action experience\n· Demonstrated ability to drive build and production issues to closure\nDesired Skills\n· Experience and understanding of standard tools for fastener installation\n· Electrical harness routing and installation experience\n· Composites structure experience\n· Team facilitation skills and effective use of Lean Six Sigma tools; Green or Black Belt certification is a plus\n· Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experience\n· Determinant assembly build experience\n· Fuel systems experience\n· Tank sealing experience\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
