Performs one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions. Maintains production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost. Expedites and optimizes material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts, analyzes and controls production schedule and capacity requirements, executes the plan, provides timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule. Coordinates with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements. Maintains MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make the associated changes to the BOM.\nJob Description :\nWorks in the Production Planning and Control organization as a Scheduler, Make, Buy and/or Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner.\nIndividual could be assigned to Program or Manufacturing Operations.\nProgram Planning:\nIndividual will be responsible for the oversight of one or more of the various elements of program planning for assigned program(s) including release of purchase orders to Supply Chain Management for materials needed on the program, could include monitoring engineering changes and creation/updates to Material Part Numbers and Bills of Material.\nMonitoring production schedules from various manufacturing sites/centers both within and outside MFC business areas (RMS,AERO,etc).\nWork outside of the normal operating hours may be required.\nManufacturing Planning:\nIndividual will fill the requirement for a Factory Operations Manufacturing or Make Planner, or assist responsible make planner, in one of four Production Operations Centers.\nResponsibilities will include scheduling and integrity of the MRP system for all assigned assemblies.\nStatus and reporting of manufacturing build.\nEffective management of kit issues and fulfillment of hardware needs to support manufacturing build.\nEffective factory implementation and cut-in of engineering and process changes.\nPrioritization of work flow in partnership with manufacturing supervision and industrial engineering team members.\nWork outside of the normal operating hours may be required.\nThis opportunity is for ARRW program, with your role extending across the various roles within Production Planning and Control. This program is inclusive of both Production & Development, including classified.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.\nPast experience in 2 of 3 areas, Make/Buy/BOM Planning or equivalent, with the ability to demonstrate advanced understanding of each area.\nDemonstrate advanced knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs; including SAP, Microsoft Office.\nVery good organization and communication skills are a must.\nDemonstrate strong analytical, complex problem solving, and multitasking skills.\nPossess knowledge of lean manufacturing.\nKnowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).\nMust be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance after accepting an offer and before starting the role.\nDesired Skills\nDemonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business.\nInventory Control and material handling knowledge, including familiarity with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.\nAbility to understand engineering drawings and parts lists and indented BOM structure.\nASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification or equivalent.\nAbility to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.\nLockheed Martin experience preferred.\nInterview Questions\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
